Welcoming Maximilian Conrad and Caner Uslu as Full-Time Analysts
At Dieter von Holtzbrinck Ventures, we believe that exceptional investing starts with exceptional people. As our firm continues to grow, so does our commitment to fostering the next generation of venture capital talent. We are pleased to announce that Maximilian Conrad and Caner Uslu, who have been instrumental as Visiting Analysts, have joined our team full-time as Investment Analysts.
Meet Maximilian Conrad and Caner Uslu
Both Maximilian and Caner have distinguished themselves through their sharp analytical abilities, strategic thinking, and strong work ethic. Their passion for venture capital, combined with a keen understanding of emerging markets and investment dynamics, has made them valuable contributors to our firm.
Maximilian Conrad, who joined DvH Ventures in September 2024, holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of St Andrews. His career path has taken him from founder’s associate roles in startups to restructuring consultancy, before moving into venture capital. Most recently, he gained further investment experience as a Visiting Investment Analyst at Simon Capital. His structured approach to assessing business models and market opportunities has already proven valuable in his work with the DvH Ventures team. Outside of work, Maximilian is an avid tennis and golf player, and his passion for skiing reflects his precision and strategic mindset — qualities that align well with the challenges of venture investing.
Caner Uslu joined DvH Ventures in June 2024 while completing his Masters in Management with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon. Previously, he worked in Financial Strategy at BMW Group in Munich and in Impact Investing at FINVIA, a multi-family office in Frankfurt. His deep understanding of private equity structures, financial modelling, and strategic growth initiatives has already made him an asset to the investment team. Caner’s background is not limited to finance — he is also an Olympic Boxing athlete who has competed in national and international tournaments. His ability to combine discipline, strategic foresight, and resilience translates seamlessly into his work in venture capital.
"A warm welcome to Maximilian and Caner! Your journey here is just beginning, and we’re excited for what’s ahead."
Commitment to Excellence in Venture Capital
The promotions of Maximilian and Caner reflect DvH Ventures’ long-term strategy of fostering internal talent and ensuring that the firm remains at the forefront of venture investing. As DvH Ventures continues to expand its presence in technology-driven sectors, the addition of these two professionals underscores the firm’s commitment to building a dynamic, future-oriented investment team. With their experience, dedication, and fresh perspectives, Maximilian and Caner will play a key role in shaping the firm’s investment strategy for years to come.
