Our Investment Strategy & Target Opportunities
As one of the leading venture capital firms, we invest in Seed and Series-A financing rounds at an early stage of the company and support our portfolio startups through various stages of development. In addition to capital, we support our portfolio companies with a media-for-equity program through which they can access the reach of established media brands such as Handelsblatt, Wirtschaftswoche, Tagesspiegel, DIE ZEIT and Apotheken Umschau. As an investor, we thus make an important contribution to visibility in the respective target groups and strengthen the brand development of our portfolio companies.
We also support founders with our network and the industry expertise of our fund investors, who are e.g. NOVENTI Health SE, Wort & Bild Verlag (publisher of e.g. Apotheken Umschau) and the Family Office of the pharmaceutical manufacturer Ursapharm.
We are interested in business models at the intersection of the healthcare market, digitization and technology. These can be patient-oriented applications, which are changed by the use of technology, as well as process-supporting applications for healthcare providers. Wherever wearables collect data and monitor medical therapies, we examine business models. We are also interested in startups that rely on pattern tracking and the individual creation of plans for prophylactic training or health-promoting nutrition. The same applies to apps or services that deal with the care or nursing of needy and chronically ill people or with any kind of health preventive measures.
We continue to be a technology investor and are looking for business models that will renew the healthcare system through digitization. In short, we are investing in the entire spectrum of Digital Health.
